Susan Sarandon: Oscar Campaigns Out of Control

Susan Sarandon thinks that Oscar campaigns have grown unwieldy and turned the Academy Awards into a case of haves and have nots.
“We need campaign finance reform,” Sarandon said at a Variety panel at the Cannes Film Festival. “The campaigns are so enormous … it’s as long as a presidential campaign.”
“People have to be available for months and someone has to pay for that,” she added.
